When it comes to cancer, I’m beyond irritated when I hear of organizations touting “cancer awareness.” Those words are used by hundreds of groups raising money with walks and runs and silent auctions. Is anyone on this planet, really, NOT aware of cancer?
It’s killed our mothers and fathers and children. Our friends. It’s
tried to kill others, including me. And I assure you that even before it tried to kill me, I was certainly aware of it.
This is a site specifically designed to support a CURE for cancer.

Dr. Disis is with the tumor vaccine group at the University of Washington, where her work centers on cancer and immunotherapy. She is the epitome of a cancer assassin.
Why immunotherapy? It’s my belief, as a cancer assassin who participated in a clinical trial that used immunotherapy, that it’s the future of the fight. It makes sense. It uses the body’s own immune system to fight cancer, which is a hell of a lot better than pushing poison (known as chemotherapy) through a patient’s veins. How incredible will it be when we live in a world where ‘chemo’ is just a historical term?
